Training on Online Store Management System (eStore) for Animal Husbandry Departme
        The Department of Animal Husbandry, Lakshadweep has conducted a training programme on Capacity building and online store management for animal husbandry officials and technical staff from 23.02.2016 to 26.02.2016 at Administrative Training Institute, Kavaratti. Dr. M.I Koya, DVO welcomed the gathering Dr. M.P. Anwar, Director(AH) presided over the function. Shri. Achada Ahamed Haji, President cum Chief Councilor (DP) inaugurated the function and Shri. Nizamudheen K.I Vice Chairperson (VDP) delivered the felicitation address. In the key note address Mr. Basheer Ahammed P.K, State Informatics Officer , explained the e-governance projects in Lakshadweep and the services provided by NIC to the UT administration including decision support system for all Head of departments. He also explained the importance of online store management system in Animal husbandry department and the salient features of an online system over manual system. Shri. T.P Abdul Khader, Veterinery Inspector gave the vote of thanks. The training on online store management was given on 24/02/2016 and 25/02/2016 at Administrative Training Institute, Kavaratti and Secretariat Multipurpose hall.

The Online store management system developed by NIC for the department of Animal Husbandry is built for effective management of all the items (Medicine, Fodder, products ) maintained across the islands and Mainland stores. It will show the availability of stock in each store in the dash board. Application has facility to generate supply order, distribution list, stock transfer, transportation management, indenting and all the MIS reports related to store management.


The sessions were handled by Shri. Mohammed Hassan, District Informatics Officer and Smt. Shahina Beegum, SA. In training session , they explained the workflow of the system, various modules and processes built for managing all the activities related to store management, classification and grouping of items, setting of re-order levels, indent submission, supply order generation and distribution list etc.. In this application, one module is exclusively devised for managing, packing & dispatching of items between Island stores and mainland store, in order to meet the challenges in transportation due to geographical isolation/condition of Lakshadweep Islands.
Shri. Leo Josheph, SSA has also joined the session through Video conferencing and he has explained it all once again and cleared all the queries raised by the Animal Husbandry officials. Feedback was also taken for improving the application performance and utility. The session was concluded stating all the islands will start entering the opening stock and sales from the month of April 2016.
